A grief-stricken cop and an amputee grandmaster are brought together by a peculiar twist of fate as part of a wider conspiracy that has darkened their lives. 'Wazir' is a tale of two unlikely friends, a wheelchair-bound chess grandmaster and a brave ATS officer. Brought together by grief and a strange twist of fate, the two men decide to help each other win the biggest games of their lives. But there's a mysterious, dangerous opponent lurking in the shadows, who is all set to checkmate them. Beautifully thought & written script with adaptive acting of Farhan Akhtar, helplessness of Specially abled Amitabh Bachchan, the dual faced cruel Politically powerful Minister, the pains & the Game of Chess. But the predictiveness of the story and lack of practicality along with lack of technical skills of commando fighting. Could have shown in a better way. Rather this movie is made for people with high mental skills, which seldom came in Bollywood. Must watch for people looking for some tricky & brainy stuff. Movie lost its marks for the lack of techniques in the fighting & countering skills. Rather the plot is well planned & well written. Content is of much higher level of Intelligence, for which Farhan Akhtar is made for. In short, the movie promises to be a great watch in its first 30 minutes.

However, loopholes/inconsistencies (see message board) and predictability in the story take the thrill away.

Several events/plot turns are based on dubious logic. The story ends up revealing certain key things too early in the movie.

Despite its weak plot, performances of main characters helps the movie reach a stage where you could consider it as a OK movie and not a complete waste of time.

It is not a bad movie. But it could have been better than this.

6/10
